Industrial Visits were organized for the PGDM students, 2011 – 13 Batch on 17th September 2011, where students visited following companies – 1. Bisleri Limted, Sahibabad. 2. Halonix Limited, Noida 3. Moser Bear, Greater Noida 4. Dixon Technology, Noida The Industry visit began by the presentations given by respective company’s representative who gave the students, an insight about the company’s Mission, Vision, products and various other things which increased the understanding level of students about the company. During visit students were exposed to the production department of companies and told about the Production, Planning & Control Procedures, Export Prospects, Export Documentation and Logistics Procedures. The company personal’s were quite impressed with the learning attitude of Accurate’s students and have ensured the CCR team to co-operate in various Industry-Academia engagement activities. Institute is planning many other Industrial visits for PGDM students in near future to increase their practical knowledge about production units.

Experiential Learning – Orientation Program with Mr. Chetan Bhagat at Accurate Institute, Greater Noida
Accurate institute of Management and Technology, Greater Noida, a premier management institute in Delhi/NCR organized a star-studded Induction Day Programme for the students of PGDM (Batch 2011-13). The function was inaugurated by the chief guest well known novelist Mr. Chetan Bhagat and also graced by the presence of corporate dignitaries from many Business Houses/Industries. The programme started by lighting the lamp by the Chief Guest Mr. Chetan Bhagat, Dr.K.L.Chawla, Director AIMT and Dr.D.Pathak, Director ABS. It was attended by around 400 students of new batch representing diverse academic and professional backgrounds. The main purpose of this orientation program is to welcome the new students of the session and motivate them towards their bright future.
On this occasion Mr. Chetan Bhagat thanked the students, parents and the faculty members of the institute for giving him a chance to address the students. He further said the day is yours. You have come to this college leaving all the comforts to become something in your life. Sharing his own tough experience of life he said that he approached eight publishers and all of them rejected to publish his book saying that the book can’t be sold, but he did not gave up and finally he got Rupa publisher who published his first book “Five point someone” . Till now more than 10 lacs copies have been sold and it is because he did not give up in life.

Dr. D.k Aggarwal (Dean Academics) IIM Shillong visited our campus on 12th August 2011. He delivered a a talk on paradigm shift in marketing. He has given several tips to the students to market a product in a competitive scenario.Dr. D.K. Aggrawal told to the students as per various international researches that 80% of the purchasing by the consumers has been done without any pre purchased decision. Ha has also discussed the current scenario of advertising and various acronyms of marketing. The session was very lively and interactive where in students asked various questions to Dr. D.K.Aggarwal.

Campus Placement by ORIENTAL BANK OF COMMERCE in Accurate Institute of Management & Technology
True to its reputation students of Accurate Institute of Management and Technology added another feather to its cap when one of the leading public sectors bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce recruited its 5 PGDM students as Manager-Marketing on an annual package of Rs.600000/- per annum. Relevant to note here that before this another leading public sector bank, Bank of Maharashtra has also selected 14 students of Accurate. In significance of the general trend of rising recruitment activities in the country owing to increased economic upturn, campus placements are significantly on the up in the Accurate Institute of Management Technology, Greater Noida this year. The highlight of this year's corporate recruitment activity is that when the students of Accurate Institute have already achieved 100% placement landmark, companies are still approaching for campus placement with higher offerings.

Accurate Group organizes Placement Party – ‘Celebrations 2011’

The festive day started with the auspicious lighting of the lamp by Ms. Poonam Sharma, Group Director Accurate Group of Institutions. It was followed by garlanding of Goddess Saraswati by the Director and other senior faculty members. The college students immediately came together thereafter for ‘Saraswati Vandana’ and set the tone for the programme.
‘Celebrations 2011’ lived well up to its expectations and seemed to carry from where the rocking 100% placement celebrations of 2010 had left. The full-day event boasted of an array of eminent personalities as guests as well as performers. The key highlight of the program was the mesmerizing performance by world renowned poet Dr. Kumar Vishwas of ‘Koi Deewana Kehta hai’ fame. The other show-stealer of the evening was the pulsating performance of the Bollywood fame singer – Labh Juneja, who sent waves of feverish excitement amongst the audience with his foot tapping numbers.
The event was marked by an entertaining series of impromptu competitions and activities like ‘Solo and Group Singing’, ‘Memory Game’, ‘Antakshri’ and ‘Solo and Group Dance’ among several others. The Programme constantly witnesses shuttering glimpses of creative and cultural diversity and the abundance of talent of Accurat’ians. The excellent performances by the student participants in various events truly stole the heart of the constantly-applauding audience. Moods kept rubbing against each other as event after event the audience became witness to superb performance, each of its own distinguished class.
Poetry Maestro Dr. Kumar Vishwas, who was received with a thunderous round of applause, enchanted the audience with his magical poetries. No wonder excitement rubbed on all and sundry at the campus. On the audience demand Kumar Vishwas started with his super-hit poem “Koi Deewana Kahta Hai” which had all clapping and humming in tow. Dr. Vishwas then belted another soother for college students - “Pagli Ladki” and went on and on with much new poetry, quite a few of them with social massages and each was received with the same energy by the audience.
The euphoria reached dizzying heights when the World famous Bollywood singer - Labh Juneja came on board. As he sung ‘Soni De Nakhre’ from the hit movie Partner and then followed it up with ‘O Yaara Dhol Bajaa Ke’ and ‘Dance pe Chance’, the audience couldn’t contain themselves any longer and went absolutely berserk. He himself joined the audience and almost everybody in the audience shacked his legs to one of his songs.
On this occasion, Ms. Poonam Sharma, the Honorable Group Director of the Accurate Group of Institutions congratulated all the successfully placed students, faculty members and staff and lauded everybody’s effort in helping the Institute achieve 100% placements of the students with multiple job offers for the second consecutive year in the leading national and multinational companies and also in the Public Sector Banks like Oriental Bank of Commerce. She also wished a bright career to all the budding professionals who are stepping into the corporate world and also shared the importance of having a strong Alumni Network in the Corporate. The placement remained top priority of the Institute all through the Academic session which saw the Institute successfully placing all its 120 PGDM students in many national and international, Government, Semi -Government and private corporate organizations of repute, he added.
Ms. Poonam Sharma, the Honorable Group Director of the Accurate Group of Institutions brought down the curtain on the extremely successful event and offered her words of appreciation to all the faculty and staff. On the occasion she honored Deputy Director of the Institute Dr. Rajeev Bhardwaj and Director Placement Mr. Satish Verma with the “Certificate of Achievement” for their distinguished role in the Placements. Ms. Sharma also thanked all the distinguished performers and eminent guests for making the event successful and promised that more such celebrations would come in the future. She offered her special thanks to Guests of Honours of the occasion namely Mr. Kamal Singh (Director AIMA) and MR. Ashwani Kumar (CEO Allied Strips) and other distinguished corporate guests. A huge and well-deserved round of applause followed her speech bringing the high octane celebrations to an end.

Mr. R. M. Sharma (GM Corporate, Strategy and Planning), Mr. M. G. Das (DGM Marketing) along with 5 other senior officials of Oriental Bank of Commerce were present at the Accurate Institute for campus Placement. A total of 77 students were short listed for G.D. and P.I. rounds and after G.D. finally 30 students were shortlisted for final interview. The finally selected students will be employed on a salary of approximately Rs. 5 lakh per annum.
On this occasion GM Mr. R. M. Sharma said that OBC Bank was established in the year 1943 and it was nationalised in the year 1980 with a turn over of Rs. 400 crore and today OBC is having a turn over of Rs 2.2 lakh crore. He said that our aim is to achieve a turnover of Rs. 4 lakh crore by 2013. He also shared the fact that currently OBC bank is 7th in rank in India and they aspire to be with in top 5 banks of India by 2013.
